Divyendra Patil

Hey! I'm Div, an SRE and infrastructure engineer in the New York metro area. I work on the systems that keep websites and apps up, fast, and secure, so when people rely on something online, it's there when they need it.

Why?

I like figuring out how things work and how to make them better, faster, safer, less likely to break. When something goes wrong, I want to fix it and then make sure it doesn't happen again. That mix of reliability and continuous learning is what I care about.

I want the work I do to matter: to help the apps and sites people use every day run smoothly behind the scenes.

Some cool things I try to do once in a while.

Page me once, shame on you.
Page me twice, shame on me.
Page me thrice, it's going to be a long night.

During my childhood, I had a genuine fondness for assisting others in resolving their tech issues. Although some perceived me as altruistic for fixing their problems for free, there was a degree of self-interest involved in these acts. Each time I helped someone with their problems, I found myself constantly learning something new.
